Federal Heads Honored at Farewell Ceremony in Islamabad

A farewell ceremony was held in Islamabad to honor the dedicated service of distinguished heads and principals from federal government institutions. The event, organized by the Federal Government Heads Association, gathered prominent officials and educators to acknowledge the contributions of school leaders to the education sector.

Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Dr. Tariq Fazal Choudhary, attended as Chief Guest, while Ms. Wajiha Qamar, Minister of State for Federal Education and Professional Training, was the Guest of Honour. In her address, Ms. Qamar expressed pride in her background as the daughter of a school teacher and assured the teaching community of her ongoing support. She pledged to represent their concerns within the Ministry and prioritize the resolution of their issues.

Dr. Tariq Fazal Choudhary addressed specific concerns raised by educators, including salary disparities and tax rebate challenges. He promised that these matters would be given due consideration and action.

Members of the National Assembly, Anjum Aqeel Khan and Raja Khurram Nawaz, also addressed the gathering, commending the vital services provided by teachers. Raja Khurram Nawaz further committed to advocating for teachers’ interests in the Standing Committee on Education.

The ceremony concluded with expressions of gratitude for the retiring heads and principals, as well as renewed commitments from government officials to further strengthen education in the federal capital.
