A detailed PIMS presentation was delivered to Federal Minister for Health Syed Mustafa Kamal, covering all departments and highlighting the hospital’s current capacity and operational challenges.
The briefing was attended by the Secretary of the Ministry of Health, the CEO of CSSP, the Director General of Health, the Joint Secretary (Hospitals), the Executive Director of PIMS and relevant hospital staff, who shared department-level assessments and technical updates.
The PIMS presentation outlined existing capacity, key challenges, medical machinery status, staffing levels, emergency services readiness, and the hospital’s IT infrastructure, along with proposed development projects to modernize services.
The federal minister stressed the need for effective and timely reforms to enhance institutional performance and instructed all stakeholders to carry out their duties with a strong public service ethos to improve patient care across PIMS.
Officials emphasized coordination between administrative and clinical teams to address immediate gaps while planning long-term upgrades. The presentation is intended to help the ministry prioritise interventions that strengthen service delivery and operational resilience at PIMS Islamabad.
