The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Islamabad Zone conducted a major operation, arresting four suspects involved in human trafficking and illegal visa facilitation, including two Afghan nationals and one government official.
Continuing its crackdown against human trafficking networks and fraudulent visa issuance, the FIA’s Anti-Human Trafficking Circle in Islamabad apprehended four suspects responsible for facilitating illegal Pakistani e-visas. The suspects have been identified as Azizullah Afridi, Nadir Rahim, Muhammad Atif Ahmed, and Ahmed Zaib.
During the operation, investigators discovered that two of the suspects, Muhammad Atif Ahmed and Ahmed Zaib, are Afghan nationals residing illegally in Pakistan. Additionally, another arrested suspect, Nadir Rahim, is reportedly an employee at a government institution, underscoring the involvement and collusion of official personnel in the visa fraud network.
Initial investigations suggest that the accused facilitated the issuance of illegal Pakistani e-visas through collaboration with various private and government individuals, highlighting a broader nexus of cooperation in the operation of this illegal scheme.
The suspects have been remanded into FIA custody for two days, and further raids are underway to apprehend their accomplices who remain at large, according to the FIA spokesperson.
