FIFA footballs distributed at Bannu Sports Complex to local teams, madrasa students and youth to boost sports participation and talent in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

At Bannu Sports Complex, Regional Sports Officer Anwar Kamal Barki personally handed out FIFA footballs to a range of local teams and young players in a ceremony attended by coaches and community representatives. The distribution included registered football teams in full kits as well as students from various religious seminaries and youth engaged in regional-level football.

Addressing those present, Anwar Kamal Barki stressed that guiding the younger generation toward healthy, constructive activities is essential. He noted that sports contribute to physical development while fostering discipline, teamwork and tolerance, and that the distribution of FIFA footballs is intended to draw youth away from negative influences and onto the playing fields.

The Regional Sports Officer said the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government and the Sports Department are taking practical steps to improve sports facilities for young people, and that similar programs will continue. He highlighted that such measures are designed to create pathways for talented players from Bannu Division and neighbouring areas to advance to higher levels of competition.

Players and coaches welcomed the initiative, saying the supply of FIFA footballs will raise the standard of play and boost morale among young athletes. Many expressed that access to quality equipment is a vital part of training and performance at regional events.

Participants at the event voiced hope that this and future efforts will promote wider sports participation across the region and provide more opportunities for youth to pursue football positively, with the long-term aim of representing Pakistan at national and international levels.
