Twenty-five students from Fatima Jinnah Women University brought forward innovative business ideas as part of the CM Entrepreneurial Female Pitch Competition, vying for a place in the provincial round. The university’s Business Incubation Center, working in collaboration with the Women Development Department, hosted an in-house University-Based Entrepreneurial Youth Competition to identify the top two concepts that will advance to the provincial finale.

The event aimed to foster entrepreneurship among young women and provided a platform for participants to demonstrate creativity, business acumen and leadership potential. Participants delivered polished pitches across thematic areas such as Digital and IT Solutions, Health and Wellbeing, Creative Industries and Green Businesses, reflecting a broad range of ideas suited to Pakistan’s evolving startup landscape.

The selection process followed directions from the Women Development Department and was overseen by a committee of faculty, entrepreneurship and innovation experts and the nominated focal person. The selection panel and jury included Dr. Abdul Wahab, an entrepreneurship educator and ILO-SIYB trainer from the School of Management at FAST-NUCES Islamabad; Mr. Azm Aftab, head of EPCAD at Beaconhouse International College and career counsellor; Dr. Hina Gul, entrepreneurship educator and CEO of La Fleur; Ms. Humera Sadia, focal person for the Women Development Department at FJWU; Ms. Hina Anjum, representative of the FJWU Business Incubation Center; and Dr. Sidra Salam representing ORIC.

The judges praised the participants for well-researched proposals, clear value propositions and practical implementation plans. The FJWU Pitch helped highlight viable solutions with local relevance while giving students exposure to expert feedback and mentorship opportunities available through the Business Incubation Center.

The competition concluded successfully and the top two winning business ideas will be announced soon. These selected ventures will represent Fatima Jinnah Women University at the Provincial Finale of the CM Entrepreneurial Female Pitch Competition, advancing the university’s efforts to support women entrepreneurs in Pakistan.

Congratulations to all participants for their entrepreneurial spirit and dedication during the FJWU Pitch; the initiative reinforces the university’s commitment to nurturing female founders and building a stronger startup ecosystem locally.
