More than 70 participants joined a focused online discussion at Fatima Jinnah Women University that explored suicide prevention and practical approaches to supporting students and communities. The session emphasised early recognition of psychological distress and building pathways for help.

The webinar was jointly organised by the Counselling & Wellness Centre, the National Centre for Research on Suicide Prevention, the Office of Student Affairs and the Department of Behavioural Sciences at Fatima Jinnah Women University in collaboration with the Pakistan Institute of Living & Learning. Together these units highlighted institutional roles in strengthening campus-based suicide prevention measures.

The speakers offered evidence-informed insights and practical recommendations for counsellors, faculty and policymakers.

Participants engaged actively during an extended question and answer segment, seeking guidance on intervention, referral and community awareness. The interactive exchange underlined the value of training, coordinated services and accessible counselling to prevent crises.

Organisers expressed appreciation for attendee engagement and called for continued dialogue, collaborative initiatives and sustained action to strengthen suicide prevention and wellbeing across Pakistan.
