The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), through its EU-funded Deliver Justice Project, successfully conducted a three-day specialized training session for Balochistan Police and Levies Force personnel in Gwadar district, aimed at enhancing their ability in handling forensic evidence and managing crime scenes.

The training brought together a total of 25 officials from the region’s law enforcement agencies, including seven female officers, underscoring a commitment to gender inclusivity. Participants received instruction on internationally standardized procedures related to the collection, packaging, handling, and proper management of forensic evidence gathered at crime scenes.

By building capacities in forensic evidence handling, the initiative seeks to significantly strengthen investigative skills within the Balochistan Police and Levies Force. Effective and scientific management of crime scenes is expected to ensure more credible outcomes in criminal investigations, thereby improving public trust and facilitating fair, transparent, and efficient delivery of justice throughout Balochistan.

This training represents a key milestone in the UNODC’s broader effort to promote robust, well-equipped, and better prepared law enforcement capabilities in the province, directly contributing to the overall enhancement of Balochistan’s criminal justice system.
