The Embassy of Belgium in Islamabad concluded its Sialkot factory visits with a tour of Forward Sports, the world’s leading football producer. Forward Sports has supplied match balls for past and upcoming FIFA men’s and women’s World Cups, as well as the Euros and the Champions League.
The factory operates with a production capacity of 15 million footballs per year and employs around 20,000 people, of which approximately 30 percent are women. Such scale places Forward Sports among the largest manufacturers in the global sports goods sector.
The Embassy said it had the pleasure of visiting Forward Sports during its final Sialkot stop and observed the craftmanship that goes into every ball. Pakistan-made footballs will continue to be used by Belgium’s Red Devils and Red Flames, who benefit from Forward Sports’ quality and expertise on the pitch.
The visit underscores Sialkot’s role in high-volume football manufacturing and highlights the ties between Pakistani industry and international sport, with Forward Sports at the centre of that global supply chain.
