Islamabad saw a new collaboration as the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) and M/s MarcoPolo Resorts & Tours (Private) Limited formalised a Tourism MoU aimed at strengthening the country’s travel and hospitality sector.
The agreement was signed by Atif Ikram Sheikh, President of FPCCI, and Javed Iqbal, CEO of MPR&T, in the presence of senior officials from both organisations. The signing ceremony underscored a shared commitment to elevate Pakistan’s profile as a destination for sustainable and adventure tourism.
Under the terms of the Tourism MoU, the partners will leverage their respective networks and expertise to enhance the visitor experience, promote sustainable development, and showcase Pakistan’s natural landscapes and adventure potential to international and domestic travellers.
Those attending the ceremony included Tariq Khan Jadon Vice President FPCCI, Karim Aziz Malik Chairman FPCCI Capital Office, Malik Sohail Hussain Chairman Coordination Capital Office, Khalid Yaqoob Malik General Manager MPR&T and Mr. Tanveer Kamran Senior Deputy Manager JV/Aviation among others, reflecting broad institutional support for the initiative.
FPCCI and MarcoPolo said the collaboration will focus on promoting the tourism and hotel industry in Pakistan through mutual support and cooperation to drive growth and development, with an eye on sustainable practices that can benefit local communities and the national economy.
