French business leaders and embassy officials met in Paris to discuss Pakistan’s economic potential, with several French companies presenting projects and expressing interest in the Pakistani market. The meeting, organized by MEDEF International and attended by Ambassador Nicolas Galey and Laurent Chopiton, head of the Economic Service at the French embassy, focused on opportunities for trade and investment in South Asia’s dynamic economy.
Organizers emphasized Pakistan’s appeal as the third-largest economy in South Asia, noting its large domestic market and a young, growing population that could support long-term demand for goods and services. Presentations highlighted sectors where French firms see potential for expansion and collaboration.
Several French companies used the forum to showcase ongoing projects and outline future plans, signalling concrete private‑sector interest in pursuing business ties with Pakistani partners. Discussions also explored how French expertise and investment could respond to market needs across infrastructure, technology, and consumer goods.
The session aimed to strengthen economic ties by encouraging follow-up discussions, partnerships, and exploratory missions between French and Pakistani businesses. Participants said the meeting could serve as a stepping stone for deeper commercial engagement and increased bilateral cooperation.
