The Khyber Forest Department has distributed 400 fruit tree saplings in Tirah Valley as part of an environmental initiative. Special events were held in Sandana and Tirah Maidan to support the campaign.
One gathering took place in Upper Bara, Sandana, attended by community leaders including Qazi Farman, the coordinator for Khidmat-e-Khalq Welfare Society, Haji Ashiq, Wak Khan, and Aseel Khan. The Forest Department was represented by Wahid Khan and Gula Khan. As part of the project, 200 saplings of apple, pomegranate, and fig trees were handed out for different areas of the Sipah tribe.
At the event, Qazi Farman and other local elders expressed their gratitude to the Forest Department for providing fruit-bearing plants, which are expected to benefit both the environment and the local communities.
