Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani, Chairman Senate and former prime minister, visited Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah at his residence in Karachi on 18th October 2025, accompanied by Member National Assembly Syed Ali Qasim Gillani. The Gillani visit was aimed at checking on Mr Shah’s health and conveying personal good wishes.
During the meeting Mr Gillani inquired after Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah’s wellbeing and offered prayers for a speedy recovery. Both leaders recalled past events and engaged in a candid discussion on the current political situation in the country and matters of shared concern.
Later the Senate Chairman proceeded to Junejo House where he met MNA Salahuddin Junejo and offered condolences on the demise of his father, former parliamentarian the late Roshan Din Junejo. Mr Gillani prayed for the departed soul and lauded the late Roshan Din Junejo’s public and political services to the nation.
As part of his Karachi schedule, the Chairman Senate will attend the Central Executive Committee meeting of the Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians at Bilawal House Karachi. The Gillani visit to the city included company from Mr Naveed Lakhani, Ahsma Soomro and Mir Mustafa Thahem during his engagements.
