Girls School Rawalpindi held teacher interviews to align subject expertise after a new campus build, boosting education quality under Punjab government initiatives.

On 4 October 2025, Government Girls Higher Secondary School Dehri Hasanabad in Rawalpindi conducted interviews for its teaching staff as part of a drive to align classroom assignments with subject expertise. The move at the Girls School Rawalpindi comes after the completion of a newly constructed campus equipped with modern facilities.

The new building, funded by the Punjab government, features state-of-the-art laboratories and upgraded student amenities designed to support improved learning outcomes. School management and education authorities emphasized that the infrastructure expansion aims to create an environment where teachers can deliver higher-quality instruction using contemporary resources.

The interview panel was chaired by the Chief Executive Officer of the District Education Authority Rawalpindi, Tariq Mahmood, and included Syed Hashim Munir, Director Affiliation from the Federal Board Islamabad, divisional directors Anila Hasan and Dr Rani Qaisra, education experts Tahir Nawaz and Mrs Ali from the Federal Board Islamabad, and school council member Naeem. Each teacher underwent a detailed assessment of teaching abilities and subject knowledge during the interviews.

Following evaluations, the panel decided to assign teachers to the subjects in which they demonstrated complete mastery. The policy is intended to ensure that students receive instruction from educators who have proven command of their disciplines, thereby raising classroom standards and improving student outcomes at the Girls School Rawalpindi.

Officials noted that this initiative is part of broader efforts led by the Ministry for Education under Rana Sikandar Hayat and Secretary School Education Department Khalid Nazir Wato to strengthen educational quality across Punjab. Administrators said the combined investment in facilities and teacher placement marks an important step toward better public schooling for girls in Rawalpindi.
