Gujrat rally shows solidarity with Gaza as Jamaat-e-Islami leaders urge Pakistan to reject recognition of Israel and oppose Abraham Accords.

On the completion of two years since the onset of Israeli aggression in Gaza, a large protest rally was held in Gujrat on the call of Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman. The Gujrat rally began at the Press Club and proceeded to Kutchery Chowk, drawing men, women, youth and elders who gathered to express solidarity with the people of Palestine.

The demonstration was led by Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Punjab Dr. Tariq Saleem alongside Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Gujrat Chaudhry Ansar Mahmood Advocate and Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Gujrat City Sajid Sharif. Addressing participants, Dr. Tariq Saleem said two years had passed since the attacks on Gaza while neither the government nor opposition parties in Pakistan had issued a formal condemnation of Israeli actions or of leaders such as Netanyahu and Trump. He criticised the ruling elite and sections of the establishment for seeking Western approval and urged the state to abandon any push for a two-state solution in favour of a firm, principled national stance on Palestine.

Dr. Tariq Saleem warned that the Pakistani nation would strongly oppose any move to recognise Israel or to join the Abraham Accords, and he welcomed the release of flotilla participants including former Senator Mushtaq Ahmed Khan while condemning Israel’s actions against the Global Resistance flotilla. “If anyone believes they can force recognition of Israel through pressure, they should know that the Pakistani nation will respond to the power of the gun with the power of faith,” he asserted, reiterating the position voiced at the Gujrat rally.

Chaudhry Ansar Mahmood praised Hamas for what he described as wisdom and restraint in response to the so-called Trump peace deal, noting that even Mr Trump had urged Israel to halt attacks — an appeal he said remained unheeded. Mahmood questioned why leaders across the Islamic world had not held the United States accountable for its support of Israeli actions and described the Hamas struggle against imperialism as a historic example and lesson for Islamic movements. He said the mujahideen of Hamas had set an exemplary standard of discipline and obedience and reaffirmed Pakistan’s longstanding stance, invoking Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah in stating that Pakistan will never recognise what was termed an occupying state.
