Deputy Head of Mission Arno Kirchhof hosted a photography exhibition at the German Embassy Islamabad featuring images of Berlin, Düsseldorf and Baden-Baden captured by Pakistani architect and photographer Hassan Kausar. The show presented cityscapes and street scenes that conveyed the rhythm and atmosphere of Germany’s inner cities to an Islamabad audience.
Hassan Kausar’s work bridges architecture and photography, using composition and light to reveal everyday urban life across three German cities. Visitors to the embassy saw familiar streets transformed into intimate studies of form and movement, reflecting Kausar’s dual background as an architect and visual artist.
The exhibition underscored cultural ties between Germany and Pakistan by bringing international urban photography to Islamabad. Hosted by the German Embassy, the event offered a chance for local art communities and diplomatic guests to engage with a Pakistani photographer’s perspective on European city life.
