The birth anniversary of Hazrat Ali was observed with a conference and Giyarhveen Sharif ceremony at Bari Imam House in Noor Pur Shahan, Islamabad. The event was organised by Raja Sarfraz Akram, Khadim of the shrine of Hazrat Bari Imam Sarkar and Baba Kalu Sarkar, Mansar Camp, and drew local religious scholars and community leaders.
Raja Sarfraz Akram reminded attendees that Hazrat Ali is regarded as a gateway to knowledge and wisdom and exemplified bravery, justice, piety and sincerity. He urged people to reflect on the purity of Hazrat Ali’s life and to apply his teachings, which continue to offer practical guidance for leading a righteous life.
Raja Imtiaz Janjua said that a person’s true worth is measured by good character and praised Hazrat Ali as a shining symbol of justice who maintained a simple life despite his high office. Muhammad Waseem Abbas noted that the door of Hazrat Ali was always open to the oppressed and that he consistently stood with truth even in difficult times.
Abdul Razaq Jami emphasised that the observance was not merely a celebration but a call to embody Hazrat Ali’s teachings in daily life by speaking the truth, upholding justice, seeking knowledge, respecting elders and showing compassion to the young. He said that adopting these values could help build a society grounded in peace, brotherhood and fairness. Obaidullah Naqshbandi and other speakers also addressed the gathering, reinforcing the message of moral responsibility and communal harmony.
