Health Services Academy held its first international conference on health professionals’ education, research and entrepreneurship in Islamabad, bringing together a large number of national and international health experts, researchers and students.
Dr. Abdul Waheed said the sector urgently needs education and research built to global standards. He urged young researchers and medical professionals to strengthen Pakistan’s health sector through modern research methodologies, technology adoption and health entrepreneurship.
Prof. Junaid Sarfraz and other specialists highlighted the importance of innovation within health systems, the promotion of research and the growing role of health entrepreneurship in delivering sustainable services. Speakers emphasized practical collaboration between academia, industry and government to translate research into scalable solutions.
During the event Abira Fatima was presented with a Shield of Honor for outstanding performance. Organizers said the award aims to encourage young researchers and recognize their contributions to the health field.
Participants noted that this health conference not only connects Pakistan’s health sector to the global community but also builds local professional capacity, helping practitioners and students adopt international best practices and new technologies.
