Health Services Academy leader Dr Shehzad meets Acting President Gilani to discuss expanding skill-based programs and new campuses for remote students.

In Islamabad Dr Shehzad Ali Khan, Vice Chancellor of the Health Services Academy, held a formal meeting with Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, Acting President and Chairman of the Senate, to review ongoing and planned projects at the Health Services Academy.

The discussion focused on expanding skill-based programmes and establishing additional campuses so that students from remote and underserved areas can access the Health Services Academy’s educational services. Gilani emphasised the need to increase vocational and practical training opportunities across Pakistan to broaden access to quality public health education.

During the meeting Gilani also lauded the Health Services Academy for its briefings to the Senate Standing Committee and the National Assembly Standing Committee on Health. He praised the academy’s role in supporting government efforts through training, research and policy advice aimed at strengthening public health across the country.

Dr Shehzad outlined current initiatives and future plans at the Health Services Academy, underscoring the institution’s commitment to delivering high-quality health education and to partnering with government bodies to improve health outcomes in Pakistan.
