IIUI Joins HEC Digital Education Initiative Launch

**IIUI Delegation Participates in HEC’s Go-Live Ceremony for Digital Transformation in Higher Education**

The International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) joined leading academic institutions and stakeholders at the Higher Education Commission’s (HEC) Go-Live Ceremony, marking the official launch of key digital transformation initiatives aimed at modernizing higher education across Pakistan.

Organized under the Higher Education Development in Pakistan (HEDP) project, the ceremony took place at Islamabad’s Jinnah Convention Center and gathered government officials, university representatives, faculty, students, and other stakeholders. The event celebrated the implementation of integrated IT and digital systems designed to create a transparent, efficient, and future-ready academic landscape.

A distinguished delegation from IIUI attended the ceremony, reflecting the university’s active role in supporting nation-wide efforts to advance digital education. The IIUI delegation was led by Dr. Amna Mahmood, In-Charge Female Campus, along with Dr. Rukhsana Tariq, Student Advisor; Dr. Hameeda Akhtar, Deputy Student Advisor; Dr. Aaliya Shahzadi from the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Basic Sciences (CIRBS); and accompanying support staff. Approximately 300 IIUI students from the faculties of Management Sciences, Economics, and Languages were also present at the event.

HEC’s Go-Live Ceremony signified an important milestone in the ongoing transformation of Pakistan’s higher education sector. By actively participating, IIUI demonstrated its commitment to aligning with HEC’s vision and ensuring its academic community remains at the forefront of digital innovation in education.
