A vibrant ceremony took place at the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Secretariat in Islamabad to celebrate Pakistan’s Independence Day. The event brought together senior HEC officers, staff members, and children, all united in honouring the nation’s spirit of freedom and unity.
The ceremony was presided over by Dr. Mazhar Saeed, representing HEC Chairman Nadeem Mahbub. Festivities began with the hoisting of the national flag and a moving rendition of the national anthem, which filled the venue with patriotic enthusiasm.
A highlight of the celebration was the cutting of a special Independence Day cake, commemorating 78 years of Pakistan’s journey as an independent and sovereign state. The colourful event exemplified HEC’s commitment to fostering national pride and unity within its community.
