ISLAMABAD, July 28, 2026: The Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan and the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to integrate HEC’s degree verification system with PSEB’s upcoming national digital workforce platform.

The initiative is aimed at facilitating digital verification of academic credentials, strengthening academia-industry linkages and enhancing graduate employability.

HEC Chairman Dr Niaz Ahmad Akhtar and PSEB Chief Executive Officer Faisal Jeddy attended the MoU signing ceremony, along with senior officials from both organisations.

According to the press release, the integration will enable digital degree verification and authenticated academic credentials of students and professionals. It is expected to enhance transparency, credibility and trust across digital workforce and talent development initiatives.

The platform will establish Pakistan’s first national verified digital talent repository, featuring authenticated digital profiles of students and IT professionals.

Employers in Pakistan and abroad will be able to access a trusted and verified talent pool through the platform, which is expected to strengthen talent matchmaking, recruitment and global employment opportunities for Pakistan’s digital workforce.

The collaboration has been described as another significant step towards building an integrated, data-driven ecosystem to support skills development, employability and Pakistan’s digital transformation agenda.
