Zoltan Varga, Hungary’s ambassador to Pakistan, visited the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry and held a detailed meeting with FPCCI president Atif Ikram Sheikh. The delegation included vice president Tariq Jadoon and Capital Office chairman Kareem Aziz, with discussions focused on strengthening bilateral ties and expanding Hungary Pakistan trade.
Participants exchanged views on promoting two-way commerce, attracting investment and enhancing industrial cooperation. Both sides explored practical steps to increase trade volume, arrange business delegations, and identify joint projects that can benefit industry clusters across Pakistan and Hungary.
Atif Ikram Sheikh highlighted opportunities in agricultural technology, food processing, pharmaceuticals and information technology, noting that Pakistan offers a favorable environment and one-window facilitation for foreign investors. He urged Hungarian companies to consider investment in energy, infrastructure and auto parts sectors and to take advantage of the wide opportunities available in Pakistan’s industrial centres.
Ambassador Zoltan Varga said Hungary seeks to deepen economic and trade relations with Pakistan and will support initiatives to boost Hungary Pakistan trade. He emphasised Hungarian expertise in modern agricultural machinery, water management and healthcare technology and assured full cooperation to promote investment and bilateral commercial ties.
Both sides agreed on the need for targeted B2B meetings and joint business forums to translate discussions into actionable projects. The FPCCI visit by the Hungarian envoy is expected to give fresh momentum to economic partnership and to open new avenues for trade and investment between Pakistan and Hungary.
