The IBCC Public Forum held at the Commission’s H-9 Islamabad office reaffirmed a strong commitment to transparency, accountability and public facilitation. Chaired by Dr. Ghulam Ali Mallah, Executive Director IBCC, the session brought together Director Generals, Directors and Deputy Directors and was broadcast live on Facebook to ensure nationwide participation.
The open Khuli Kachehri provided a direct platform for students, parents and other stakeholders to raise queries, lodge grievances and offer suggestions related to IBCC services. Representatives from IBCC regional offices across Pakistan joined the session, ensuring broad geographic representation, and senior management addressed questions on the spot to deliver timely, solution-oriented responses.
During the forum Dr. Mallah outlined the Commission’s statutory mandate under the IBCC Act, 2023 and reviewed the organisation’s reform journey. He emphasised IBCC’s role as Pakistan’s apex coordinating and regulatory body for examinations, certification and equivalence and highlighted key initiatives including nationwide implementation of the Model Assessment Framework (MAF), capacity development of examination professionals, and the rollout of a One-Window Digital Verification, Attestation and Equivalence System to enhance efficiency and public trust.
The Executive Director also briefed participants on IBCC’s regulatory oversight of foreign qualification-awarding bodies, technology-enabled examination reforms and student-centred national initiatives. He stressed ongoing efforts to align Pakistan’s qualifications with international frameworks to support global mobility and employability, and invited candid public feedback to streamline processes and improve service standards.
The forum saw strong participation and appreciation for direct interaction with senior leadership, timely resolution of concerns and the professional environment across IBCC offices. Several constructive suggestions to enhance public facilitation were received and noted by the leadership, marking an important step in strengthening citizen engagement and reaffirming IBCC’s commitment to a transparent, responsive and people-centred examination system.
