At the IBCC H-9 office in Islamabad, a progress review meeting on sports initiatives was chaired by Dr. Ghulam Ali Mallah, Executive Director IBCC, where the Inter Boards Sports Committee and representatives from Strawberry Sports Management discussed development of a dedicated sports portal to streamline talent identification across the country.
The centralized digital sports portal will allow students registered with educational boards under IBCC as well as Pakistani students abroad to create profiles, record achievements and present their sporting potential to national stakeholders. This online platform is designed to make registration and scouting more accessible for learners from diverse regions.
The initiative emphasizes merit, equity and inclusion by ensuring the talent identification process is transparent, traceable and scalable. By combining digital innovation with professional sports management expertise, the sports portal aims to build a sustainable pipeline of athletes and strengthen grassroots sports across Pakistan.
Ms. Sadia Naz Brohi has been appointed Deputy Director (Sports) and will coordinate with Directors of Physical Education, the IBSC Secretariat and the Pakistan Sports Complex in Islamabad to oversee implementation, monitoring and stakeholder engagement for the portal and related programs.
Dr. Mallah highlighted that the portal reflects IBCCβs commitment to institutional collaboration, innovation and transparency, reinforcing efforts to develop a structured national sports ecosystem. The platform is expected to improve talent discovery and provide clearer pathways for athletes to progress to higher levels of competition.
The formal inauguration of the sports portal is scheduled for January 22, 2026 at the IBCC Secretariat in Islamabad, marking a key step toward organized and technology-driven sports development in Pakistan.
