**ICCI and Roots IVY International Colleges Forge Alliance to Promote Youth Skill Development and Entrepreneurship**
The Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) and Roots IVY International Colleges have announced a strategic partnership to enhance educational excellence, skills development, and entrepreneurship among young people. The collaboration aims to strengthen ties between academia and industry, preparing students for the evolving demands of the modern economy.
During a meeting with a Roots IVY delegation, ICCI President Nasir Mansoor Qureshi emphasized the urgent need for educational reform in light of rapid global changes. He remarked that traditional teaching methods are insufficient in today’s world, and advocated for learning models that foster adaptability, creativity, and global citizenship. President Qureshi also highlighted various ICCI initiatives designed to build effective industry-academia linkages and encourage the youth to become entrepreneurs rather than job seekers.
The leadership of Roots IVY, represented by Rector Muhammad Ali Iqbal Raja and Ms. Kalsoum Nawaz, reaffirmed their commitment to innovative education. “At Roots International, we ensure our students are not only academically competent but also trained to think critically, solve problems, and emerge as future leaders in a dynamic global environment,” they stated.
Both sides agreed to explore multiple avenues for synergy, focusing particularly on youth entrepreneurship, startup incubation, and economic empowerment programs targeted at students. A landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was also agreed upon to formalize the partnership. As part of the MoU, children of ICCI members will receive discounts on tuition fees at Roots IVY International Colleges, increasing educational opportunities within the business community.
ICCI Senior Vice President Abdul Rehman Siddiqui and Vice President Nasir Mehmood Chaudhry welcomed the initiative, expressing confidence that this alliance will better align educational programs with real-world economic needs and contribute to national development goals. The meeting was attended by ICCI executive members Raja Naveed Satti, Rohail Anwar Butt, Irfan Chaudhry, Mohsin Khalid Malik, and Advisor to ICCI President Naeem Siddiqui.
