Islamabad Capital Territory Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority (ICT-PEIRA) and Omer-e-Rawan Organization have entered a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at strengthening student wellbeing across private educational institutions in the capital. The partnership is designed to introduce structured, evidence-based awareness sessions and educational initiatives that address mental, emotional and physical health.
Under the terms of the MoU, a program of workshops and interactive sessions will be rolled out within PEIs in Islamabad to promote student wellbeing. Activities will focus on mental health awareness, stress management and emotional regulation while integrating measures to prevent bullying and support students facing psychosocial challenges.
The collaboration will also place emphasis on physical health through practical guidance on nutrition, personal hygiene and promoting active lifestyles among young people. These combined interventions are intended to encourage healthier day-to-day choices and create supportive routines within school communities.
Reducing stigma around mental health is a core objective of the initiative, with both organizations committed to fostering open dialogue and safe school environments where students feel empowered to seek help. Targeted interventions will aim to build self-awareness, resilience and positive behavioural skills among youth across Islamabad’s private sector schools.
The MoU came into effect on March 26, 2026 and will remain valid for three years, with a provision for extension by mutual consent. Both ICT-PEIRA and Omer-e-Rawan will nominate focal persons to coordinate implementation, monitor progress and ensure strict confidentiality and protection of students’ data throughout the program.
By pairing regulatory oversight with practical wellbeing support, ICT-PEIRA seeks to reinforce its role in improving the educational ecosystem in Islamabad, addressing student wellbeing as an essential complement to academic development.
