A joint delegation from the Federal Directorate of Immunization, Mannion Daniels (MD), and Oxford Policy Management (OPM) conducted a comprehensive visit to Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) facilities managed by partner Civil Society Organizations (CSOs). The visit aimed to evaluate current immunization services and foster collaboration for strengthening health outcomes.
During their field assessment, the team visited both fixed and outreach immunization sites operated by REEDS, AGAHE, and SPHERE/Rahnuma. The on-site visits were facilitated by team leads from each respective CSO, providing the delegation with an in-depth understanding of the operational dynamics and community engagement at these facilities.
Following the site tours, the delegation held a meeting with Dr. Samra Khurram, Director Health Services (EPI). Dr. Khurram briefed the participants on key lessons learned throughout the program’s implementation and highlighted the challenges that lie ahead in expanding and improving immunization coverage.
The visit underscores the importance of multi-stakeholder collaboration and continuous evaluation in achieving national immunization goals.
