Minister of State for Federal Education and Professional Training Wajiha Qamar met with Syed Javid Gillani, Executive Director of Muslim Hands Pakistan, and Rehan Tahir, Head of Project Maidaan, to discuss joint efforts to address out-of-school children and expand inclusive education. The meeting concluded with both sides committing to strengthen their collaboration to advance education across Pakistan.
During the discussion, participants reviewed the scale and urgency of the out-of-school children challenge and considered ways to improve identification, enrollment and retention of these children in formal education. Emphasis was placed on measures that promote access for marginalized and vulnerable groups to ensure education is inclusive.
Representatives from Muslim Hands Pakistan and Project Maidaan outlined their ongoing programs and expressed readiness to align resources and expertise with federal priorities. The minister highlighted the importance of partnership between government and civil society in scaling effective interventions.
Both parties agreed to deepen cooperation through coordinated activities and information-sharing aimed at expanding educational opportunities nationwide.
