Provincial ministers chaired a cabinet committee meeting to review measures against infectious diseases, including dengue, and disaster management strategies, underscoring the need for effective interdepartmental coordination and public awareness.
The meeting was jointly chaired by Khawaja Imran Nazir, Provincial Minister for Health and Population, and Khawaja Salman Rafique, Provincial Minister for Specialized Healthcare and Emergency Services. Discussions primarily focused on the current health situation and measures already implemented to control the spread of infectious diseases, especially dengue fever.
Authorities closely examined various proposals aimed at improving preventive measures, strengthening institutional coordination, and enhancing public outreach and awareness campaigns. Both ministers directed relevant departments to strictly ensure implementation of all required precautionary protocols and recommended the intensification of public awareness campaigns.
Secretary of Health and Population Nadia Saqib attended the session along with other senior officials from the concerned departments, reflecting the collaborative approach of various governmental institutions in addressing public health challenges.
