A farewell ceremony at Police Lines Headquarters in Rawalpindi marked the retirement of Inspector Muhammad Zaheer Beg, who concluded a 40-year career with the Rawalpindi Police. The event brought together senior officials to recognise his long service and dedication.
Chief Police Officer Syed Khalid Hamdani, along with the SP Headquarters, SP Patrolling, SP CIA, SP Security, DSP Headquarters and other officers attended the ceremony. The CPO presented an honorary shield to Inspector Zaheer Beg and paid tribute to his contributions to the department, saying his services to Rawalpindi Police will always be remembered.
Inspector Zaheer Beg was presented with 150 commendation certificates and multiple cash awards in recognition of his exemplary performance during service. Colleagues highlighted that throughout his four-decade career he was never late for duty and never received disciplinary action, underlining his record of reliability and professionalism.
Speaking at the event, Inspector Zaheer Beg expressed gratitude and said, ‘Alhamdulillah I have always carried out my duties with hard work and honesty.’ He noted with pride that he served in both Rawalpindi and Gujrat districts and that focusing on his children’s education was important to him; both of his children hold master’s degrees and his son serves as an SHO.
The CPO and other officers saw Inspector Zaheer Beg off with warm wishes for his retirement, acknowledging a respected and successful career. The Rawalpindi Police spokesperson conveyed official best wishes as the department thanked him for his years of service.
