Integral Global’s Director, Nabeel Ahmed, met with Minister of State for Health Dr. Mukhtar Bharath to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in Pakistan’s health sector, with a particular focus on hepatitis elimination and public health improvement initiatives.
During the meeting, Dr. Mukhtar Bharath recognized Integral Global’s valuable support of the Prime Minister’s Hepatitis C Elimination Program. He underlined the Ministry of Health’s aspiration to transform Islamabad’s healthcare system into a model “Health City” through its partnership with Integral Global. Ongoing actions are being taken to further reinforce the health infrastructure within the Islamabad Capital Territory.
Integral Global also highlighted the need for the nationwide introduction of the Hepatitis B birth dose vaccine, emphasizing its importance for the country. Both parties agreed to hold an important meeting to discuss the financial aspects and the implementation of these initiatives at the national and provincial levels.
Expressing a commitment to deepening their partnership, Integral Global’s director reaffirmed the organization’s dedication to further supporting efforts to improve public health in Pakistan. He also noted that Integral Global will continue to play a role in promoting water, sanitation, and hygiene principles.
The meeting included updates to the Health Minister about Integral Global’s ongoing projects in Pakistan. The organization has been actively working for several years to advance public health in the country and, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and the Capital Development Authority, remains committed to building healthier, cleaner communities. According to the director, recent campaigns focusing on water, sanitation, and hygiene have achieved significant successes in underserved communities and schools.
