In a telephone conversation with Pakistan’s Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, President Pezeshkian voiced concern over the widespread impact of the floods in various regions of Pakistan. He reiterated Iran’s readiness to provide any necessary aid and emphasized the importance of regional cooperation in tackling humanitarian crises.
President Pezeshkian assured Prime Minister Sharif that Iran stands alongside Pakistan during this difficult period, offering technical, logistical, or other support needed to assist with ongoing flood relief operations.
