Ambassador Reza Amiri Moghaddam stressed the need to deepen Iran Pakistan ties during his visit to Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation Islamabad, where he met Director General Radio Pakistan Saeed Ahmed Shaikh. The envoy highlighted media, culture and people to people contacts as priority areas for expanding cooperation between the two countries.
Speaking with the Radio Pakistan leadership, the ambassador described Pakistan and Iran as brotherly nations bound by shared history, culture and religion. He also lauded the diplomatic support extended by Pakistan during the twelve-day Iran-Israel war in June this year and thanked Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the government for standing in solidarity with the people of Iran during testing times.
The ambassador said both countries have substantial potential to enhance bilateral cooperation in the field of media and to increase high-level exchanges. He urged officials on both sides to tap this potential for the mutual benefit of Iran and Pakistan, noting that stronger Iran Pakistan ties in broadcasting and cultural programming could deepen public understanding and people to people links.
To advance media collaboration, the Iranian envoy invited Director General Saeed Ahmed Shaikh to visit Iran for mutual consultations aimed at concrete steps to boost joint initiatives and exchanges between state broadcasters and cultural institutions.
