Islamabad Bar Association Visits Parliament House

Islamabad Bar Association and Khurshid Law Firm conducted a Parliament House visit to receive briefings on parliamentary history, lawmaking and committee roles.

On 05 November 2025 a delegation of lawyers from the Islamabad Bar Association and Khurshid Law Firm carried out a Parliament House visit in Islamabad and were welcomed by senior officials of the Senate Secretariat.

During a guided tour of the Senate Museum the visitors received a comprehensive briefing on Pakistan’s parliamentary history, the legislative process and the role of the upper house in national affairs. The delegation also viewed a specially prepared documentary that traced the Senate’s history and important parliamentary milestones.

In the Senate Hall officials explained the procedures for conducting sittings, the stages of lawmaking and the functioning of parliamentary committees. Emphasis was placed on the parliamentary structure and the vital role committees play in shaping effective legislation and oversight.

The delegation then visited Gali-e-Dastoor where they were briefed on the formation and evolution of the Constitution of Pakistan and key moments in the country’s constitutional history. Members praised the project for presenting the nation’s constitutional heritage in a modern and visual format.

At the close of the visit the lawyers expressed their gratitude to the Senate Secretariat for its hospitality and the informative briefings, describing the Parliament House visit as highly educational, useful and purposeful for legal practitioners engaged with parliamentary and constitutional matters.
