Islamabad investment opportunities pitched to UAE investors

Investors from the United Arab Emirates met with the Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) at CDA headquarters to discuss a range of investment opportunities in Islamabad, including hospitality, commercial real estate and tourism projects. Officials outlined financial and operational models to protect investor capital, reported completed feasibility studies for major tourism projects, and pledged incentives and facilitation to attract and secure foreign investment.

The delegation was welcomed by CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa, with senior CDA officials attending the meetings, including Board Member Admin and Estate Talat Mahmood, Member Engineering Syed Nifasat Raza, and Member Planning and Design Dr. Khalid Hafeez. Discussions focused on identifying viable opportunities and practical steps to bring projects to fruition in Islamabad.

CDA officials briefed the investors on priority sectors such as the hotel and hospitality industry, commercial developments, real estate, and various tourism initiatives. They emphasized that Islamabad offers strong potential for investment across these areas, highlighting demand and strategic advantages for private sector participation.

To protect investor interests, the CDA presented tailored financial and operational models designed to secure capital and improve project viability. Officials said these frameworks will support transparent, risk-mitigated investment structures for commercial projects in the city.

Feasibility work for major tourism projects has been completed, officials reported, naming theme parks and a cable car system among initiatives now ready for the next stages of development. The CDA noted that leading national consultancy firms and specialists have already prepared feasibility studies to make these projects actionable.

Chairman Randhawa reaffirmed the authority’s commitment to creating consistent, attractive opportunities for investors and said the CDA is taking measures to offer maximum incentives and streamlined facilities to simplify the investment process. He said building investor confidence in Islamabad is a top priority.

The UAE delegation expressed strong interest in the investment opportunities presented. Officials said the meetings aimed to promote foreign direct investment in Islamabad and to implement projects meeting international standards to support the city’s development.
