Islamabad Poultry Associations Hold Oath Ceremony

Islamabad Poultry leaders took oath at Millennium Market E-11, pledging to protect traders and address sector issues with unity and active leadership.

A formal oath taking ceremony at Millennium Market in sector E-11 brought together the newly elected office holders of the Islamabad Poultry Retailers Association and the Islamabad Poultry Traders Association, with prominent traders and market representatives from Islamabad, Rawalpindi and other cities in attendance. The event highlighted the growing focus on organization and solidarity within the local poultry trade.

The proceedings were presided over by Khurshid Ahmed Qureshi, president of the All Pakistan Jamaat al-Quraish Meat Welfare Association, while Muhammad Ajmal Baloch, president of the All Pakistan Anjuman Tajiran, served as the chief guest and administered the oath to the new leadership. Both dignitaries congratulated the elected teams and pledged support for resolving challenges in the poultry sector.

The Islamabad Poultry Traders Association swore in its new team with Sardar Zaheer Ahmad as chairman, Sardar Zubair as senior vice chairman, Pir Naeem Abbasi as president and Raja Tabarak as general secretary, while other elected members also took their oaths. The Islamabad Poultry Retailers Association confirmed Sardar Wasim Khaliq as chairman, Syed Mahmood Hussain Shah as president and Shakil Abbasi as general secretary among other office bearers who pledged to represent retailers across the city.

Notable attendees included Muhammad Owais Satti, president of the Islamabad Chamber of Small Traders and Small Industries, senior vice president Taib Sheikh, and leaders from the Rawalpindi poultry mandi and market centers such as Malik Ghazanfar, Raja Zubair, Zahid Abbasi, Umar Abbasi, Haji Asghar, Malik Yasir and regional poultry figures including Raja Muneer and Raja Talib. Market center representatives from F-10, G-9 and G-10 also joined the ceremony along with former senior vice president Khalid Chaudhry and other respected trade leaders.

In his remarks Muhammad Ajmal Baloch commended the new leadership and emphasized that addressing the concerns of traders depends on a capable and sincere team. Khurshid Ahmed Qureshi underlined that solidarity among traders is essential for economic resilience and expressed confidence that the elected committees will carry out their duties with integrity. The new leaders vowed that the union will prioritize resolving the issues facing shopkeepers, protect their rights and stand by them at every step.

The ceremony concluded with a lavish reception in honor of the participants and warm good wishes for the new leadership. Attendees left hopeful that a united Islamabad Poultry front will enhance market stability and contribute positively to the local economy.
