Islamabad CDA Partners for Poverty Alleviation Initiatives

Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Islamabad’s Chief Commissioner, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, met with Nadir Gul Bareech, Chief Executive Officer of the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF), to discuss collaborative efforts aimed at improving underdeveloped areas of Islamabad. Senior CDA officials, including board members for administration, finance, planning, and environment, were also in attendance.

The meeting focused on launching joint initiatives to promote skill development, create employment opportunities, and enhance community engagement within deprived neighborhoods of the city. Chairman Randhawa emphasized that sustainable urban progress and social welfare are essential for Islamabad’s prosperity. He reiterated the CDA’s commitment to improving residents’ lives and expressed a willingness to partner with all relevant organizations for this purpose.

PPAF CEO Nadir Gul Bareech commended the CDA’s efforts under Chairman Randhawa’s leadership and assured full cooperation from his organization. He highlighted that both entities would take effective measures together to tackle poverty in Islamabad.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties agreed to strengthen coordination and begin practical projects targeting poverty reduction. The goal is to uplift marginalized communities, enhance their economic stability, and make Islamabad a more prosperous city through collaborative action.
