Islamabad security measures strengthened after a high-level meeting; authorities boost CCTV, patrols and coordination to protect citizens and deter crime.

Islamabad, 15 October 2025 — A high-level meeting at Capital Development Authority headquarters reviewed measures to tighten security across the federal capital. The session was chaired by Muhammad Ali Randhawa in his capacity as Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, and focused on ensuring foolproof arrangements for public safety.

Participants included Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, Inspector General of Police Islamabad, CDA board members, the Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, the Director General of Islamabad Safe City, the DIG Operations and senior officials from Islamabad Police, CDA and ICT. Officials briefed the forum that all major roads and arteries of the city remain open and business activity is proceeding normally.

The meeting resolved to further enhance Islamabad security through a combination of technology and operational measures. Islamabad Safe City will continue to expand CCTV coverage and modern monitoring systems with trained staff on duty 24/7, while emergency response protocols will be refined to shorten response times and enable prompt action against criminal elements.

Authorities agreed to increase visible patrolling, intensify snap checks and strengthen CCTV-based monitoring at the city’s entry and exit points. Greater inter-agency coordination was emphasised to ensure that surveillance, policing and district administration efforts are fully integrated and effective.

Zero tolerance toward criminal activity was directed by Muhammad Ali Randhawa, who praised the efforts of Islamabad Police and the district administration and urged that no effort be spared to protect citizens’ life, property and honour. The joint measures are intended to consolidate overall security and reassure residents across Islamabad.
