Islamabad authorities have intensified their efforts against illegal wall chalking, arresting Syed Rauf in the Sarai Kharbuza area following a heated confrontation involving his guards. The operation, led by Magistrate Sangjani Raja Shoaib on the instructions of the Islamabad Deputy Commissioner, highlights the city’s resolve to enforce regulations on public cleanliness despite resistance.
The crackdown began after officials repeatedly warned Syed Rauf to cease advertising his private establishment through unauthorized graffiti on public property. Despite clear instructions to remove the wall chalkings, Rauf allegedly ignored the warnings, prompting authorities to initiate strict legal action under Section 144, which prohibits wall chalking city-wide.
As law enforcement approached Rauf for compliance, tensions escalated. According to sources, Rauf not only refused to remove the graffiti but also threatened the magistrate and administrative staff with severe consequences.
