KARACHI: itel Energy showcased its latest solar-plus-storage solutions at the 22nd Solar Pakistan Expo, held from October 9 to 11 at the Expo Centre Karachi, highlighting its Gen-2 battery, cooperation with REPT BATTERO and plans to expand into commercial and industrial energy storage.

The company said Pakistan’s solar sector is entering a decisive new phase as rising grid tariffs and daily load-shedding push consumers towards solar-plus-storage solutions. The storage market is growing by more than 30 per cent year-on-year, supported by falling battery costs and increasing demand for energy independence.

itel Energy announced strategic cooperation with REPT BATTERO, described as a world-leading lithium battery cell manufacturer. Under the partnership, itel Energy has launched a new-generation residential battery line in 5kW and 2.5kW capacities.

The battery line is built with REPT’s “Royal Series” 100 per cent Grade A Cells Inside cells. According to the company, the Gen-2 battery offers higher performance density for more usable energy in a compact form factor, enhanced safety through a built-in Intelligent BMS with real-time monitoring, and an extended service life engineered for more than 10 years of daily cycling.

The system also offers improved compatibility through CAN2.0, RS485 and wireless communication with compatible inverters, while supporting up to 16 parallel units for scalability.

itel Energy said its Sparta IP66 and IP54 hybrid inverters have been deployed across thousands of installations nationwide, ranging from Punjab’s dusty plains to Karachi’s humid coast. The company said installers favour the series for outdoor mounting with shelter, while the plug-and-play battery system helps reduce wiring errors. End-users have reported steady performance even during harsh summers.

“I have installed 383 itel Energy systems so far. The product reliability and strong performance have made itel Energy a trusted choice for my customers,” said Sajjad Ali, a solar installer from Karachi.

The company has also signed a memorandum of understanding with strategic partners to develop dedicated commercial and industrial energy solutions. The move comes alongside its new-generation 10kWh C&I battery, built with 100 per cent Grade-A Cells Inside.

The C&I battery system is designed for flexible deployment, scaling from 40.96kWh to 661.8kWh, and can operate as both high-voltage and low-voltage without the need for a BDU. The offering also includes integrated project delivery, covering energy audit, installation and monitoring, as well as AI-driven energy management aimed at optimising consumption and reducing peak demand charges.

itel Energy also highlighted its Power Series, which extends beyond rooftop solar through co-marketing with electric bikes and smartphones. The Power Series + Bike offering pairs Power Tank portable stations with itel electric bikes, while Power Series + Phone bundled campaigns position itel Energy as a companion to smartphone users.

The company said its broader ecosystem brings together REPT cells, Gen-2-powered inverters for homes, scalable commercial and industrial solutions, and mobility products.
