Islamabad Wildlife Management Board conducted an awareness session at Trail 5 in Margalla Hills National Park with students from SLS School, Zaraaj Campus. The visit gave pupils direct exposure to the park’s diverse flora and fauna while emphasising why protecting these habitats matters for local communities and future generations.
During the session, facilitators highlighted the importance of biodiversity and conservation of MHNP’s rich ecosystem, linking classroom learning to on-site observations. Students were encouraged to learn how simple actions at home and in their neighbourhoods can support the long-term health of the Margalla Hills environment.
By engaging young learners, IWMB aims to empower future stewards of Pakistan’s natural heritage and build community-level interest in sustaining conservation efforts across Margalla Hills National Park.
