JF-17 Block-III captured attention at the Dubai Airshow 2025, emerging as a focal point for delegations and defence buyers from the region and beyond. A memorandum of understanding was signed with a friendly country for the procurement of the fighter, and several other nations expressed interest in acquiring the platform.
Pakistan Air Force sent a contingent to Al Maktoum International Airport that included the JF-17 Block-III alongside the Super Mushshak trainer aircraft, underscoring Pakistan’s expanding footprint in aerospace manufacturing and operational training.
The JF-17 Block-III is a 4.5-generation multi-role fighter equipped with advanced radar systems and long-range missiles, capable of undertaking a wide spectrum of combat missions. The aircraft has been battle-tested during engagements with India in 2019 and again in 2025, including missile strikes on enemy air defence systems and operations along the Line of Control.
PAF Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu held discussions with air chiefs from friendly states and met UAE Defence Undersecretary Lieutenant General Pilot Ibrahim Nasser Al-Alawi as well as Air Force and Air Defence Commander Major General Rashid Mohammed Al-Shamsi to explore advanced training, aerospace technology collaboration and operational coordination.
The UAE military praised Pakistan’s modernisation and indigenous capabilities, and both sides agreed to deepen cooperation through joint exercises, professional exchanges and strategic partnerships as Pakistan promotes the JF-17 Block-III on the global market.
