The Arts Council Karachi Roundabout became a canvas for international collaboration as the new Karachi mural was unveiled in a ceremony attended by Mayor Murtaza Wahab, Consul General of France H.E. Alexis Chahtahtinsky, Counsellor for Cooperation and Cultural Affairs Marc Piton, Director of the Alliance Française de Karachi Emmanuel Bruerec, and Arts Council President Muhammad Ahmed Shah.
The site-specific artwork brings together French street artists Nasty and Seth GlobePainter with Pakistani talents Affan Tariq and Talal, alongside faculty and students from SOVAPA. The Karachi mural reflects a shared commitment to cultural exchange and public art, transforming the roundabout into a visible symbol of artistic dialogue between France and Pakistan.
City leaders and cultural representatives emphasized the role of such projects in engaging young artists and enhancing urban spaces. The collaborative unveiling highlighted practical learning for SOVAPA students and introduced Karachi audiences to contemporary international mural practices while strengthening ties between local institutions and the Alliance Française.
