**National Assembly Speaker Pays Tribute to Kashmiris’ Struggle on Accession Day**

Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has paid tribute to the unwavering struggle and sacrifices of the Kashmiri people, reaffirming Pakistan’s steadfast support for their right to self-determination. In a special message marking Kashmir’s Accession to Pakistan Day, he emphasized the deep-rooted bond between the people of Kashmir and Pakistan.

Sardar Ayaz Sadiq highlighted the historical significance of July 19, 1947, noting it as an unforgettable day when the leadership of Azad Jammu and Kashmir formally passed a resolution to accede to Pakistan—reflecting the collective will of the Kashmiri people. According to the Speaker, the day symbolizes the enduring commitment of Kashmiris toward Pakistan, with their hearts continuing to beat in unison with the nation.

The Speaker condemned decades of oppression faced by the Kashmiri people, including extrajudicial killings, enforced disappearances, and serious human rights violations. He stated that these tactics have failed to suppress the Kashmiri people’s spirit of freedom, which remains strong, especially among the third generation actively pursuing their right to self-determination as guaranteed by United Nations resolutions.

Reaffirming Pakistan’s position, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq described Kashmir as the “jugular vein” of Pakistan and reiterated the country’s continued political, diplomatic, and moral support for the Kashmiri cause. He urged the international community to play an effective role in ensuring a peaceful and just resolution of the Kashmir dispute, which is essential for lasting peace in the region.

The Speaker assured the Kashmiri people that the Pakistani nation stands firmly beside them in their struggle for freedom and will continue to advocate for their cause at every available forum. Concluding his message, he reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with Kashmiris, stating that Accession Day serves as a renewed pledge that Pakistan has always stood by, and will always stand by, the people of Kashmir.
