Kazakhstan Embassy Islamabad Meets Gujranwala Business

Ambassador Y. Kistafin of the Republic of Kazakhstan met with business leaders from the industrial city of Gujranwala in Islamabad to discuss ways to deepen economic cooperation, expand trade ties, and arrange a reciprocal visit by a Gujranwala delegation to Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, Ambassador Kistafin outlined the outcomes of a recent Kazakh delegation visit to Islamabad led by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs M. Nurtleu. He described the agreements reached between the two countries to develop cooperation, including plans to establish international transport corridors and enhance bilateral business links.

The ambassador also presented Kazakhstan’s medium-term economic plans and highlighted rising trade turnover between the two nations. He emphasized strong interest from both business communities in broadening collaboration across several sectors, notably agriculture, the information technology industry, and textiles.

Participants agreed to organize a visit by a delegation from Gujranwala to Kazakhstan to explore concrete opportunities and follow up on the discussions. The visit is expected to help translate the meetings’ proposals into practical projects and partnerships.
