Kazakhstan Pakistan transport ties advance as ministers and firms agree on joint logistics projects and practical measures after Islamabad talks

Islamabad, October 23, 2025 — At the invitation of Pakistani authorities, a Kazakh delegation led by the Minister of Transport, Nurlan Sauranbayev, participated in the Regional Transport Ministers’ Conference 2025 and held a series of meetings with Pakistan’s transport leadership and major transport and logistics companies. The visit aimed to consolidate Kazakhstan Pakistan transport cooperation and identify concrete projects.

During bilateral and multilateral discussions, both sides explored future prospects for cooperation in the transport and logistics sector. Negotiations focused on enhancing transit connectivity, improving freight movement and launching joint logistics projects; agreements were reached on practical measures to advance cross-border transport and trade facilitation between Kazakhstan and Pakistan.

Pakistani transport authorities and Kazakh counterparts agreed to continue technical consultations and prepare project-level plans to implement the measures discussed in Islamabad. The commitments made by ministers and industry partners are expected to accelerate collaboration and translate agreed Kazakhstan Pakistan transport initiatives into actionable steps.
