Kohsar University partners with THQ Hospital Murree to boost healthcare, research and training through joint programs, exchanges and innovation projects.

Kohsar University Murree has formalized a partnership with THQ Hospital Murree to advance public health, applied research and professional development across the region. The agreement sets out a collaborative framework for community outreach, academic and clinical linkages, and joint R&D and innovation projects aimed at addressing local health needs.

The memorandum outlines practical cooperation in public health programs, capacity building, faculty and staff exchange, commercialization of research, and the organisation of workshops, seminars and educational initiatives. The partnership emphasises the exchange of academic and clinical expertise to strengthen service delivery and support evidence-based improvements in patient care.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Rafia Mumtaz welcomed the THQ delegation and reiterated Kohsar University’s commitment to collaborative growth and community service. The signing ceremony included Dr. Mian Awais Alam, Medical Superintendent; Dr. Muhammad Faisal Amir Malik, Deputy Medical Superintendent; and Mr. Aurangzeb Satti, IT Officer, representing THQ Hospital Murree.

Leaders on both sides said the agreement will reinforce academia-healthcare linkages in Murree, enhance research output and improve healthcare standards while creating professional development opportunities for students and faculty. Through joint projects and shared resources, Kohsar University and THQ Hospital aim to deliver measurable benefits to local communities and support sustained innovation in regional healthcare.
