KOICA Pakistan and UNHCR conclude a four-year partnership improving water, healthcare and education for Afghan refugees and host communities.

After four years of collaboration, the joint KOICA Pakistan and UNHCR programme supporting Afghan refugees and their host communities in Pakistan has reached its conclusion, while the systems established during this period will continue to serve people across the country.

As a valued partner of UNHCR, KOICA Pakistan helped strengthen access to clean water, healthcare and education, building infrastructure and institutional capacity that local providers and communities can maintain going forward. These interventions have been designed to leave lasting benefits for both refugees and the Pakistani families hosting them.

A heartfelt thank you goes to the KOICA Pakistan Office for standing in solidarity with refugees and for supporting stronger, healthier communities during critical times. The partnership’s legacy will remain visible in improved service delivery and the resilience of local systems.

Looking ahead, continued cooperation among humanitarian partners and local stakeholders will be important to sustain the gains achieved over the past four years and to ensure that the people who relied on these services continue to receive support.
