KP Hockey Lovers urge PHF scrutiny reform, calling for a transparent nationwide process as delegation meets Mohiuddin Wani to demand merit and accountability.

A delegation of KP Hockey Lovers met Pakistan Hockey Federation President Mohiuddin Wani on Tuesday and offered their congratulations as he assumed his responsibilities, underlining the immediate need for reforms in hockey governance.

The group included Amjad Aziz Malik, Muhammad Tufail, Afsar Ali, Shafqatullah, Olympian Rahim Khan, Rauf Lala, Akhtar Zaib, Haji Bashir, Hamza Tufail and Murad Ali alongside other associates who travelled to discuss the future direction of the sport in the country.

Delegates engaged in detailed discussions on the current state of hockey in Pakistan, with particular emphasis on creating a robust and transparent scrutiny mechanism. They urged swift action to establish a nationwide PHF scrutiny framework that is impartial and consistently applied across provinces.

Members stressed that a system founded on merit, transparency, and justice is essential if Pakistan hockey is to reclaim its historic standing. The delegation called for clear procedures, independent review, and open reporting so that selections and administrative decisions reflect competence rather than patronage.

Expressing hope in the new leadership, the delegation asked President Wani to prioritise accountability and reforms that reinforce merit in every aspect of the game.
