The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) has launched an emergency relief operation to support families affected by devastating floods in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The initiative provides vital shelter and food assistance to thousands impacted across some of the province’s hardest-hit districts.

The relief effort targets communities in Buner, Swat, Shangla, Battagram, Mansehra, Dir Upper, Dir Lower, Swabi, and neighboring flood-affected areas. KSrelief has allocated 10,000 Shelter NFI Kits and 10,000 Food Packages as part of the emergency response.

Each Shelter Kit is equipped with essential items, including a tent, solar panels with LED lights, two thermal blankets, plastic mats, a kitchen set, water cooler, and antibacterial soap to help families cope with immediate post-flood needs. The Food Packages, weighing 95 kilograms each, contain wheat flour, sugar, lentils, and cooking oil to address nutritional requirements.

The distribution is being coordinated with Pakistan’s National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), Relief, Rehabilitation & Settlement Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (RR&SD KP), local authorities, and KSrelief’s partners, Hayat Foundation and the Peace and Development Organization. This cooperation aims to ensure aid reaches vulnerable populations efficiently and transparently.

KSrelief’s emergency relief operation underscores the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s continued commitment to assisting the people of Pakistan in times of crisis, providing rapid humanitarian support where it is most needed.
